My question is - how much traffic do I need before I start looking for paid advertisers.

I run a 'whats on' website for the city of Manchester, England. Content relates mainly to arts, culture and entertainment in the city (City population 450,000/ Greater Manchester is around 2.5mill). Just to give you an idea of the type of city Manchester is, I have heard that it is similar in some ways to Chicago or Baltimore.

Its not a pure geo dot com (its Manchester+Wide) and it is receiving in the region of 3,000 - 5,000 visitors a month, principally from Google; and no type in traffic.

The next stage is to sell ad space but I'm not sure what traffic numbers appeal to advertisers?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
