Any of you pro's own any "CityOf(cityname).com" DN's?

Out of curiosity I checked Compete to see the difference in traffic between "cityoflosangeles.com" and "losangeles.com."  There's a HUGE difference.  But, I kind of attribute it to website quality, and how aggressive it's marketed.

Does anyone know of a good "CityOf..." example that is grabbing more traffic than the "CityName" version?  Also, what kind of resale value are we looking at here?

I personally think the "CityOf" version has plenty of potential.

I personally don't own any "Cityof" domain names or eager to buy one. However, checking the drop lists daily I've noticed plenty of "CityOf" expired domain names which are still available. IMO, it could only indicate that those type of names have little or zero traffic and not much value.

It all depends on its development. Its not just about type in traffic it is about interpretation. I have around 100 cityof domain names, mostly Australian covering all the largest cities. Those that I have running produce great results if developed and marketed properly. Search engines love them as well since they are the Cityof......

Walking into a customers shop and promoting the cityof......com is a recognisable brand and sometimes confused with local Councils.

I think cybermonkey hasnt heard the penny drop on this but you have. If you can find some I recommend you buy it and develop it. Ultimately the name will be worth a lot of money but initially there is more money in building the local business directory. See www.cityofgosford.com a small city 1 hour north of Sydney Australia. We exceed 10,000 visits a month on this site alone and the site has produced well over $50,000 in revenue in its first year.

Good Luck

If your application is already approved before the upgrades, then you just need to submit a Pre-Reform application which only needs the stats and changes made to your character. If not, you will still have to be approved before you can play. If you have an application already on the website before the upgrades, I can search it for you, but youll have to tell me your character name.
