This is probably in the forum somewhere already but I couldn't find it so as a newbie I thought I'd start another thread. I'm looking for feedback on whether it's more logical to select keywords in a particular order. For example:

remodeling.city

or

city.remodeling

Any opinions or advice from the experienced GEO's is appreciated.

I'm not one of the big dogs by any means, but I feel Geo+Keyword.com generally is the way to go.  In my opinion, it is more brandable than Keyword+Geo as it simply rolls off the tongue easier.  That's certainly not to say that Keyword+Geo.com is garbage.

I'm in agreement with this.

Thanks, Dodger!

I search the other way around but that's just me. It probably doesn't matter since both ways are registered.

I think that if you are only looking for domain name value and type in traffic then Geo+Subject is the way to go. If you are planning on optimizing the site for search engines then I think that Subject+Geo will work a little better because people search (at least I search) for the service first, then the city name if I am looking for on a search engine. For example, if looking for a pool builder in Las Vegas I would type "pool builder, Las Vegas" not "Las Vegas, Pool Builder".

think like a consumer, how would you search for it?
what sounds best?
how do you want to be remembered?
are you trying to develop a brand?
for instance i have captured a real estate niche i feel is more important starting out with the keyword then the city, my sites (~ 250) are; www.relocatingto(destination city).com, see www.relocatingtotoledo.com as a sample.
