I've long been a fan of domains beginning with the prefix m, in lieu of the traditional e, i, u & v, which I've always associated with the term mobile.  I own several m names followed by non-geo keywords, such as mTribune.com.  I've recently picked up some strong geo m domains, such as mSanFrancisco.com and mPittsburgh.com. Any feedback from others as to this geo mobile strategy?

Hey dmblea, good to see a fellow NPer here.  I started a thread on this subject there.  I've noticed a lot of generic and geo names gone with the 'm' prefix.  I can see this following in the 'i' 'e' paths, with 'm' being for mobile.  I have actually ran across a few companies using it in their name, as they are mobile related businesses. And I'm sure everyone is hoping to have the next 'iReport' name with an 'm' like name!  I don't know how many mCity names you may have, I have a few, but a lot of them are already regged, and some back as far as 2000 too.  I just regged mDenver.com the other day. I can see making a nice geo site out of them, and have them be mobile compliant by WURFL or browser detect, so they'd serve the both mobile and PC surfers.  Plus, can't really see any infringing problems on other city names etc, as the 'm' is designating that this is mobile version of that geo word.

Hi Hawkeye,

Glad so see you also like the m prefix.  I recently purchased mSanFrancisco.com, mPittsburgh.com, mAssistance.com, mCincinnati.com, mPlumbing.com, mRaleigh.com, mRoofing.com, mStockMarket.com and mSupplier.com.  I will probably pick up some more this week, as I think the m prefix has some legs.  I noticed that mPennsylvania.com was available.  Please feel free to grab it, if you like.  Have a great week.
