Hey MDW ,

I would just say you need alot more content and you should make it atleast 3 pages. The Design looks good though.

edit:  Just looked at the site again and see that you do have more then 3 pages , i thought those were ads.  But yeah you need more content on that first page.

Thanks Genius, I think you're right about the amount of content on the homepage. One question I always had was about quantifying the amount of content. We've all heard of guidelines for SEO for English content, but it's hard to count the number of "words" in Japanese.

Maybe I need a guideline on number of characters?

This is a old post from Olney on  IDNF.com ..

Quote from: Olney

1. If you can in your server settings try to remove the www on the domain.
For example I personally think it looks cooler for people to see
http://グラビアアイドル.jp in the Search results or the browser than to see it with www in front.
If you put it in there from your server settings it will show in the Search Engine results like this.

2. Backlink your IDN domains with punycode & no www
I did some research over close to a month & found that punycode gets indexed quicker currently on all the search engines than using unicode. This is of course a suggestion for when you can control the domain.

3. Minumum characters on each page (Asian languages)
I believe you should put a minumum of 500 characters if your site has at least 3 to 4 pages & adsense. If you only want to put 1 or 2 pages I strongly recommend putting at least 700 characters of text (not words but characters).

4. Link Trades
Feel free to post in this category for those of you looking to trade links. This development category is not indexed by Search Engines. A few of us are already trading links. Trade links with the same language & possibly a related term. The best thing you could do is try to put links inside the content if possible.

5. Use UTF-8 as your encode
Using UTF-8 as your encode makes you able to easily exchange links with others & all search engines index your text. I am unsure about UTF-8 & arabic language so don't quote me where the text direction is different. Those developing with Arabic languages can post or feel free to add.

6. Keep your offsite links to a minumum
I link to link to related sites but keep your links to other sites to a mimunim you have to look at the ratio of content compare to outbound links.

7. Use Google Analytics at the launch
Use Google analytics to see where your traffic comes from. For Non English languages it might just say "Google" but you have to look at where the traffic comes from & realize which Google or Which Yahoo it is. Is it Google.co.uk? Google.ca? Google.fr

8. Don't show friends your site if it has a good blend (adsense)
You don't know how many times I wanted to put my coworkers in a headlock for almost clicking on my blended ads on Adsense. 75% of the time friend immediately click on your ads more than people who searched for your site. It's like a magnet..

9. Use open source scripts
There are plenty of open source scripts & programs translated into other languages.

10. Buy content
I started realizing it's easier to have someone write articles in different languages than to get them to translate what you want exactly. Give them direction & it's usually faster & cheaper.

Just how fast do I need to answer to get the trophies for "answer every question  correctly and quickly in one section"?
