I recently received a $1k offer for this domain and am trying for figure out what to counter. This domain has both U.S. (several cities are named Portsmouth) and international potential. One of the most recent Geo .info sales that I could find was huntsville.info, which sold for $2k. Any input/information/sales info would be most appeciated.

Alot depends on the sell/buyers value of .info domains.

I would counter with $2,500 for Portsmouth.info. That would tell the seller you are reasonable and both of you are in the ballpark. Then thru negotiations, hopefully you can get max value and come in close to $2,000.

PORTSMOUTH.TV has had a tough time selling despite activity in the GEO .TV space.

I conquer with george.  If you had developed it and had it indexed in search engines with traffic, then it would be worth much more.

Portmouth is a big naval community, ship building area, that is small and not very impressive.  Been there many times, not a big tourist location.
