So, I made a minisite with a general (nationwide) vacation related site and it has done extremely well in terms of both traffic and revenue. I put up another minisite with a town name attached to the front of the domain, and now I see that the "geo" domain is occasionally outperforming the general domain and it's only for one small resort town (if you can even call it a town).

Behold the power of "geo".

When you say town attached to the front of the domain can you elaborate a bit.

You know, like "TahoeCabinRentals.com" compared to "CabinRentals.com".

That is because consumers search local with targeted and descriptive words. They want what they are searching for, not cabinrentals.com all over the us.   Grin

Geo domains are undervalued at this point of time.  Watch as the market evolves and geo values sky rocket.
